Heartyy Fresh: Delivering Indian groceries and happiness
While working as a top-rated freelancer on Upwork, I had the privilege of collaborating with Heartyy Fresh, the largest online Indian grocery platform in the USA. They needed a comprehensive digital solution to manage everything—from customer orders to warehouse operations and driver logistics. I was instrumental in building a multi-layered system that brought all these elements together seamlessly.
I developed a user-friendly web and mobile app that allowed customers to browse an extensive catalog of Indian groceries, place orders, and track deliveries in real-time. The app featured a secure checkout powered by Stripe and offered personalized recommendations with an AI-driven search powered by Algolia. To enhance customer engagement, I integrated a rewards system, Heartyy Points, where users could earn and redeem points on future orders.
On the backend, I built a robust warehouse management system that automated inventory updates and streamlined order processing using QuickBooks and Cron jobs. I also developed a specialized Picking-Bagging app to ensure accurate order fulfillment and integrated Optimo Route to optimize delivery routes for drivers. This system minimized manual errors and improved order accuracy.
Leveraging technologies like React, React Native, Node.js, Express.js, Firebase, and AWS, I delivered a scalable and efficient solution that significantly enhanced Heartyy Fresh’s operational efficiency. The platform not only improved customer satisfaction but also enabled the business to expand its services and meet growing demand effectively.
