Rover: Enhancing Pet Care Through Technology

During my time at Rover, I played a key role in shaping digital experiences that connected pet parents with trusted sitters and walkers. As a Senior Software Engineer, I focused on building intuitive, reliable, and engaging features that made pet care more accessible and stress-free for millions of users.

I led frontend development with ReactJS, crafting responsive interfaces that prioritized usability and performance. On the backend, I worked extensively with Python and relational databases, ensuring seamless data flows and secure, scalable systems that powered the core user experiences.

Collaboration was at the heart of everything we did. I partnered closely with designers, product managers, and data scientists to deliver thoughtful features that met the real-world needs of pet owners and sitters. From booking interfaces to profile management, I helped turn ideas into polished, high-impact solutions.

Mentorship and quality were also key parts of my role-I actively supported junior developers, championed automated testing, and drove best practices in code quality and performance. Working in a hybrid Agile environment, I contributed to a culture of learning, adaptability, and pet-centered innovation.

At Rover, it wasn’t just about writing code-it was about building trust between people and those they entrust with their beloved pets. Every feature I worked on aimed to improve that connection, making pet care more reliable, convenient, and filled with heart.
