Zoetis: Innovating Animal Health with Technology

At Zoetis, a global leader in animal health, I was deeply involved in developing advanced software solutions that bridged veterinary science and cutting-edge technology. As a Senior Software Engineer, I led efforts across automation, machine vision, and AI to drive innovation in pet healthcare and clinic operations.

One of my proudest accomplishments was leading the development of intelligent BioDevice systems that integrated machine learning, computer vision, and generative AI-transforming the way clinics monitored and diagnosed animal health. These tools brought real-time insights and automation into daily workflows, enhancing both accuracy and efficiency.

I also contributed to the design of a microservices-based SaaS platform that connected with pet clinics, built with a modern tech stack that included Java (Spring), Node.js (TypeScript), React, and cloud-native tools like Kubernetes, Azure Functions, and Cosmos DB. This platform enabled scalable, event-driven data processing and improved service delivery for veterinarians and pet owners alike.

My role also involved implementing robust cloud infrastructure on Azure, leveraging tools like Event Hub, KeyVault, Helm, and Docker to ensure performance, security, and reliability at scale. Whether it was designing APIs, optimizing data pipelines, or integrating 3rd-party services, my goal was always to create technology that made a tangible difference in animal care.

Working at Zoetis taught me that innovation in animal health goes far beyond lab coats-it lives in the code, systems, and platforms that support the people caring for animals every day. I'm proud to have been part of that mission.
